Mr. Santosh Panda is a Class-I Marine Chief Engineer with over two decades of progressive experience in the merchant navy and shore-based marine consultancy. He commenced his maritime career after completing his Degree in Marine Engineering from C.V. Raman College of Engineering, Bhubaneswar in 2004.
He sailed with reputed international shipping companies including LMS and OMCI, and was promoted to the rank of Chief Engineer in 2019. His sea-going experience covers Chemical Tankers, Aframax Tankers, and VLCCs, with extensive exposure to complex machinery operations, high-risk cargo environments, and international compliance standards.
During his sailing tenure, Mr. Panda has been actively involved in multiple dry dockings, major machinery overhauls, system upgrades, and repair planning. He has successfully prepared and supported vessels for SIRE inspections, CDI inspections, pre-vettings, and multiple USCG inspections, ensuring vessels consistently met regulatory and vetting expectations.
As a Consultant Marine Superintendent, Mr. Panda provides comprehensive advisory support to shipping and technical management companies, including vessel management guidance, inspection readiness, machinery reliability improvement, pre-purchase inspections, technical due diligence, and vessel conversion projects such as DP to CP conversions.
